We are looking for a confident veterinary surgeon who is thirsty for a positive challenge, to step into a sole charge GP position in our practice in Croydon, South London.About your new role!Between Croydon and nearby New Addington are experienced and long-standing support teams including RVN’s, students and front of house, that play an integral part in day-to-day branch life, including successfully maintaining high team moral.You will have full clinical support from Stone Lion Hospital in Wimbledon, for any complex referrals you may need to make, and OOH care for your patients.You would be fully supported by your dedicated regional manager, and regional head vet who has a wealth of knowledge to pass on and can support you in your clinical management needs.This is a sole charge GP first opinion position, and you will be comfortable with routine GP consultations and surgery, but ample support is provided by management in the region. As a sole charge branch vet some of your duties will include:– Carry out consultations, thoroughly examining all pets presented and making management and treatment recommendations which are based on best practice and are evidence-based and in accordance with GVG protocols. – Perform surgery on cases as appropriate and within boundaries of personal competence and limitation of overnight care. – Maintain, prescribe and dispense all medications in accordance with appropriate current medicines legislation and RCVS guidance.  – Record accurate and thorough clinical notes and ensure that pets’ histories are accurate comprehensive and useful to colleagues. – Be prepared to refer cases in a timely manner, in the first instance to a GVG Hospital, when there is an inability to undertake a case for whatever reason. – Help to maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment – Work alongside your RVN to ensure branch meetings are scheduled and the clinics SOP’s are being actioned- Oversee the consulting and surgical/diagnostic diary in compliance with company policies.

This role can accommodate a Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday rota, and includes a 1:4 branch Saturday rotation and a 1:10 Sunday rotation in the Stone Lion Hospital plus 1-2 bank holidays per year.

There are NO on-call requirements for this position.

This established practice in South London is looking for a confident GP vet wishing to settle and make their mark.About your new role!Our new team member will be confident in day-to-day GP sole charge practice life, working alongside an RVN who we are currently recruiting for, and a fantastic trainee nurse who knows the practice inside-out.This is a 4-day week role (Thursdays off) and includes a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:10 hospital Sunday rotation, and 1-2 bank holidays per year.There are NO on-call requirements for this position.The Brixton practice is looking for a vet to settle in and re-establish a close-knit client base, performing first opinion consultations and routine surgeries. Location wise, Brixton is within 20 minutes of what I like to call the south-west sister triangle. ​This established practice is looking for a charismatic sole charge vet to charm our Highbury clients and their beloved pets, providing exceptional first opinion care on a 4-day week basis.

About your new role!

​Highbury has a strong bond with their clients, and we are looking for a vet who can continue this relationship in this GP role, performing first opinion consults and minor surgeries, with the triage of emergencies when applicable.

​Highbury would be ideal for a confident vet happy in a sole charge position with a consult focused diary, who is looking for a long-term role they can settle in and play an integral part in the local community.

The rota involves Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, plus a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:8 Wanstead Hospital Sunday rotation, and up to 2 bank holiday’s per year. You will be included in the last resort on-call rotation for the region…emphasis on last resort!

About your new role!

Working between 2 very different practices (not on the same day) you will be providing consistency to our clients and teams week in week out.

​There can be flexibility to how your weekly rota can look, involving 3 or 4 days between New Addington, and Croydon. Both sites have their own nuance’s, and you will be fully supported in both with experienced support colleagues who have worked in their respective branches for years.
