The theatre will be your domain, providing pivotal nursing support to your vets, including orthopaedic surgery, supporting junior colleagues when in theatre, and ensuring the surgical equipment is maintained appropriately.Your rota will also include an average of 1:4 weekends with TOIL and up to 3 bank holidays per year.

This role would suit an experienced RVN who is already a dab hand in the theatre, and now wants to progress into a senior theatre only based role. If you already hold a surgical nursing certificate, amazing! VA451 – Veterinary Surgeon

We are looking for a confident veterinary surgeon who is thirsty for a positive challenge, to step into a sole charge position in our practice in Croydon, South London.Before we delve into the nitty gritty, here is what we offer you:

​Our sole charge vet salary band is £57,000 to £73,000 (FTE) depending on experience and allowing room for growth within the role, as we would welcome the opportunity to provide CPD for further clinical or management development.

This role includes a branch Saturday rotation and 1:10 Sunday rotation in the Stone Lion Hospital plus 1 bank holiday per year. We would also be happy to explore this as a part-time role.

About the role

Between Croydon and nearby New Addington, are experienced support teams including RVN’s, students and front of house, that play an integral part in day-to-day branch life, including successfully maintaining high team moral.

You will have full clinical support from Stone Lion Hospital in Wimbledon, for any complex referrals you may need to make, and OOH care for your patients.

You would be fully supported by your dedicated regional manager, and regional head vet who has a wealth of knowledge to pass on and can support you in your clinical management needs.

This is a sole charge position, and you will be comfortable with routine GP consultations and surgery, but ample support is provided by management in the region.

​Being south of the river, you are ideally located near idyllic Kingston Upon Thames, and then for a night out in London within easy reach of Brixton.

This has created an opening for a veterinary surgeon to step into a senior position and explore the ins and outs of Goddard Putney!Before we delve into the nitty gritty, here is what we offer you:Our senior vet salary band inclusive of weekend rotation is £63,000 to £83,000 (FTE) depending on prior experience, and development within the role.

We are also looking for an additional part-time vet to join the team on either a 2 or 3 day week basis (plus weekend rotation) to crossover with the senior vet 1 day per week. If you were looking for additional days this can of course be explored within the region as we could explore 2 days in Putney, and 2 days in another nearby practice. The associate vet salary band is £45,000 to £58,000 (FTE).

This role involves a 4-day week, with a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:8 Hospital Sunday rotation. You will be rota ‘d to up to 2 bank holidays per year in Wanstead, and be part of the region’s on-call rotation (not on your rota ‘d days off as these are protected).

As well as digital and dental x-ray, we will also be providing Tottenham with ultrasound facilities.

You will be fully supported by our highly experienced regional manager, whose support is invaluable to her branches, as well as a regional head vet for clinical management support you may need.

You will also be supported by our Wanstead 24-hour hospital to refer more complex cases, and their own rotating night team provides your patients with invaluable OOH care.

​Caseload at Tottenham is high, with a bonded client base so we need an experienced vet to take the reins of this popular branch. The practice itself is perfectly situated if you want to travel into the hustle and bustle of central London within 15 minutes, but is also within a short drive to beautiful Epping Forest for that countryside relief!
